NU KEMET RETREAT &
RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY
"Why settle for the world we were given, when we can build the world we want?"
- Arkee Hodges, BAF President
The purpose of BAF's Nu Kemet Retreat & Residential community is to build a model self-sustaining Black community that reflects our Guiding Principals and Pan-African culture.
Our goal is to create our own private paradise where our members can live and our community can gather to celebrate our culture and accomplishments on land that we own.
Located in Toomsboro, GA, 2 hours away from Atlanta and 30 minutes from Macon, GA, our Nu Kemet Community consists of 118 acres of pristine virgin land.
NU KEMET FEATURES:
-
Unique A-frame, pyramid-style homes and architecture
-
A Clubhouse with bar/lounge area, indoor pool/sauna/spa, commercial kitchen and restaurant, art gallery/multipurpose space, and fitness facility.
-
A grand lawn for outdoor events and entertainment.
-
A curated 2+mile nature trail that borders the entire community.
-
A produce farm and greenhouse, as well as chicken raising and beekeeping operations for farm-to-table dining.

"Why reminisce about all the Black Wall Streets and all-Black towns we used to have, when we can rebuild them???
- Arkee Hodges, BAF President
